Welcome to this web site which will soon have ratings, reviews, comparisons, promotions, and more information on the various methods you can use to rent DVDs by mail, or download them.  In the mean time, since most of these have a free trial, why not give them a shot yourself? Take full advantage of these free trials before they're gone!

First of all, if you are new to the concept of renting DVDs by mail, you are probably thinking, "How am I supposed to predict a few days ahead of time, what movie I will want to watch?"  Well, I can answer you this way: "It's easy, even I can predict what movies you will want to watch, and I don't even know you."  You will want the newest releases, the biggest blockbuster movies, the movies that contain actors that you like, etc. What I mean is, you are too used to going to the movie store and THEN deciding what you want to watch.  You look at the boxes and remember the trailers you have seen for this movie or the comments you overheard about that movie.  But wouldn't it be easier if you just entered those movies on a list at the time you heard of them, and they sent those movies to you automatically?

Alright, if you read that paragraph and you still aren't sure, then Blockbuster Online is the one for you.  Why?  Because every month they give you two free in-store rentals along with your online membership.  So when you just gotta go get a movie (with your girlfriend on a Friday night, whatever) you can do that without feeling bad that your online membership is wasted.  Click below for my Blockbuster information page...

Next, if what you ultimately want is convenience (and that is something I am definitely willing to pay for) and super-fast delivery times (at zero cost to you), then Netflix is the one. They were the first in the biz, they are the best at what they do.  Their web site is great for browsing movies and getting recommendations based on previous movies you liked.  When a movie is just coming out in the theatres and you decide you would prefer to watch that one on DVD, you can enter it on your Queue (even before it is released on DVD) and they will automatically send it to you when its available.  And the round-trip delivery time (movie in hand til movie in hand) is about two days.  Now thats convenient!  Click below for my Netflix information page...

Okay, so maybe you are the family man, coming here to find a way to get your kids the Disney animations, the Winnie the Pooh, the whatever-is-the-latest movie they want to see, without multiple trips to you know where (movie store) each time coming home with 20 bucks worth of candy. DVD Avenue DVD Rentals by Mail (all ratings available)

This one is a little different - Instead of renting DVD's, you actually download them to your PC.... in case walking to and from your mail box is just too much work! The best thing about Movielink is that you can decide what you want to watch at any time and start viewing the movie within minutes, faster than a trip to the movie store!  Also, its better for people who don't want to commit to a monthly fee, but instead just want to 'get a movie from time to time'.  Since movies here are as little as 2 bucks, depending on your viewing it may end up cheaper even than Walmart.  Or, maybe its a good addition to a monthly plan, that you only use when you have the urge.
